Day-4, Very Italian Pizza

This day we started with "Take a step
forward" which was presented by Margriet. Every one of the group got a paper
with a personage (e.g. a drug addict, wealthy person, a Roma unmarried wife)
and Margriet read some situations and if you thought it is applicable for your
personage you had to take a step forward. After the last situation it appeared
that some had taken many steps, while others still were near the starting
point. It made clear that the situation you are born in or have come in because
of bad luck, determines the possibilities you have in society.
After this it was time to walk to the bus, which would bring us to Rotterdam. Within Rotterdam we have to search a little time for a place to get off the bus, but at last the driver found a place near the railway station. From there we had a little walk to the Paulus church, where our lunch was served. This was server by people who had social difficulties and through working at the restaurant at the Paulus church gained self-confidence again. Later on the way the Paulus church is working with people with less opportunities was explained and we were shown around within the church.
From the Paulus church Janus guided us to the Zadkine monument, where we were walking across the border of the city that was bombed during the start of the Second World War and the part of the city that was saved. There a picture of the whole group was taken, after which everyone was free to walk to the terminal of Spido near the Erasmus bridge. At the terminal we boarded a ship for a beautiful tour through the harbor.
At the end of the boat tour we got into the bus again, which brought us to Scheveningen. There we had some problems finding the right place to get out of the bus, but after some phone calls we managed to find the place. We had some free time now to enjoy the beach. Most of us took a walk to the pier and enjoyed ourselves.
