Day-13, Lazy Sunday

After travelling yesterday to Gherla, we had a quite relaxing day. In the morning, we travelled with the bus to SanMartin in order to be present at the church service. We stopped near the cultural centre within the town and as we had to wait for some time before the service, the Romanian participants were able to meet their relatives after they left for Holland two weeks ago. After that, we walked together up the hill, where the church is situated.

During the service, the referent payed attention to the exchange and Pisti told the congregation about the things we have done together and the fun we have had together.

In the afternoon, the bus brought us to Noszoly, which is one of the other villages, where Tibor is referent. There we visited the old church, which is renovated with help from the Netherlands. Some weeks ago youngster had removed the plaster from the wall of the church in order to enable the walls to dry. It was amazing to see that the humidity within the church has dropped more than 10 degrees.

Some of the participant took a walk up the hill, where an old church is situated, which is very beautifull.

After this it was time to return to SanMartin again. We still had some time before the afternoon program would start. Some took the opportunity to relax a little near the cultural centrum, while others made a walk through the neighborhood of the village.

The dinner for this evening was together with the other people of the congregation and many were helping with the preparation of the various foods. During the preparation of the food, various talks were held and some locals took the opportunity to have a picture taken with some of the foreigners.

The day was finished with a campfire.
