Blog-0, Advance Planning Visit
Before an actual exchange can take place, there needs to be and Advance Planning Visit (APV) were the leaders from all countries come together to discuss the program and prepare for the actual exchange. For this exchange the APV took place between the 24th and the 27th of June. Enikö, Rebeka and Irma from Romania and Dalma and Jula from Hungary travelled to the Netherlands to prepare for the exchange. After arriving safely on the airport, the guests were picked up and brought to Lunteren.
On Sunday afternoon, a barbeque took place. Most of the Dutch participants were also present. Everyone enjoyed their food and the first (inter)national contacts
were made. After lunch we sang a few Hungarian songs that would later also be sung in
the church.
Next we played a few getting-to-know-each-other games, people had
to get untangled, balls were thrown and notes were spread around the yard.
Everyone participated nicely and there was a very fun and nice atmosphere. We
continued with playing a ball throwing game to kill some time before we would
all go to church.
Some of the Dutch participants had to leave the group to go home at this point. In the evening we all went to church. After the church-service we left to scout the venue 'Het Houten Hes' in the forest nearby. After that we all returned to the host were we sat together and had a nice evening, after which everyone went to bed.
Monday morning
we talked through the program and made some adjustments to the planning. After
this slightly formal part of the APV we decided to go out and drove to a town
called Giethoorn, during the exchange we will also visit this town that is
known as the "Venice of the Netherlands". Here we enjoyed the sunny
weather and pizzas, and some more things were discussed
Tuesday the guests from Romania and Hungary left to go back home, everything is now ready for the exchange!
